Table salt
A white, odorless, crystalline, loose substance (except iodized),with a characteristic salty taste. It consists mainly of NaCl (93-99%) and contains small impurities of calcium, magnesium, and potassium salts, which give it hygroscopicity and sometimes shades of color (gray, yellowish, etc.). It has a cubic crystal lattice, is well soluble in water, with a pH of aqueous solution of 6.5-8.0.
